Insomnia in the Human Hive of Hong Kong explore les paysages urbains nocturnes comme les symptômes d’une société en perpétuelle veille.
À travers cette série photographique, je scrute les verticalités étouffantes, les cellules d’habitation empilées, les lueurs artificielles qui prolongent l’activité jusqu’à l’épuisement.

Hong Kong devient ici la métaphore d’un monde où l’humain s’agglutine, s’optimise, se compartimente — au mépris de ses besoins primaires.
Comme dans une ruche, chaque unité de vie semble assignée à une fonction, réduite à un rôle dans une organisation qui a peu à voir avec notre nature mammifère : le sommeil, le repli, le lien organique y deviennent des résistances.

L’insomnie n’est pas seulement celle des corps, mais celle d’un système incapable de s’arrêter.

Ces images cherchent à rendre visible cette tension : entre hyper-organisation et perte de repères, entre densité extrême et solitude, entre lumière continue et absence de repos.

Insomnia in the Human Hive of Hong Kong explores the nocturnal urban landscape as a symptom of a society that never truly rests.
Through this photographic series, I observe suffocating verticalities, stacked living cells, and artificial lights that stretch activity into exhaustion.

Hong Kong becomes a metaphor for a world where humans are clustered, optimized, compartmentalized — disconnected from their mammalian nature.
Like in a hive, each living unit seems assigned to a function, reduced to a role within a system that has forgotten our biological needs: sleep, retreat, organic connection — all become forms of resistance.

The insomnia is not only of the body, but of a system incapable of stopping.

These images attempt to render visible that tension: between hyper-organization and disorientation, between extreme density and isolation, between constant illumination and the absence of rest.
